You have 10 bama fans down voting you , but to answer your question, I say yes. If he "relapsed" recently, why is he still on staff?

whats the rumor bama is spreading about sark?

I don't know. Maybe ask the people starting the rumor about Bama starting a rumor about SarK?

I think putting him in a drinking environment like south Louisiana (only an hour away from NOLA) is playing with fire, but the guy can coach.

About the same amount of LSU fans that run with every negative rumor they hear chicken. this rumor has been around in Alabama radio for a couple of days when it looked like Kiffin was going to LSU and Houston was not likely. So do you think Alabama started a rumor hurting the most likely OC candidate during a NC run when they will likely have to call on him as OC?

he went out partying after the SEC Championship game.

Before, actually. That's the rumor any way.

Rumor has been out there since Sunday in some places.

No. sour grapes? For Sark? No way. Had it been Kiffin their current OC maybe, but hiring a drunk second tier staffer that no one else would even touch is hardly a reason to be angry if you are Bama.

What does it matter? He doesn't have job responsibilities

Every ranger here watches the games blitzed, and is smarter than all the coaches. Maybe the coaches should get loaded too

Any number of possible answers here:

1) maybe he didn't relapse and it is just a rumor (though it's been out there for days without retribution by the normal "insiders", so it's likely true)
2) fire a guy with his profile and it is national sports news and embarrasses the guy. relieve him from duty quietly and you give the guy an opportunity to get help and maybe a job elsewhere
3) the other factor, which i doubt has been a concern by Saban, but would be by me, is that the guy is suing his former employer for firing him for being an alcoholic.

and put out the rumors to discredit Sark?

What if the rumor is true and was floated to put pressure on O to make a OC hire? I mean if there are OC's looking at program openings and comparing these two programs, would it give one pause to make a hasty decision regarding the opportunity. And why would it be a rumor if Sark was going to LSU? Why wouldn't O just go ahead and announce the hire? I would have thought that LSU would have wanted to announce it BEFORE the rumors could start to get ahead of the story and make it look like sour grapes from Bama.

If he did get drunk with the players then one has to question Saban's decision to bring him and his not being dismissed. Alcoholic or not fraternization should be enough cover to shitcan him.
