Gillhamer has the MT connection. Whitt coached with Petrino before. How is Sunseri connected? I don't see Bobby hiring someone he doesn't have prior ties to, IMO

Real LEGIT names to look for are Joe Whitt Jr, Mike Stoops, Sal Sunseri, Everett Withers, Vic Koenning.

IIRC, Sunseri and Petrino were at Louisville for a season together in the late 90's, that might be wrong though.

They could do a lot better on defense with a better DC, but part of their issue with Bama/LSU is talent disparity. They need depth on their defense. They just ran out of gas and got run over against LSU.

It's not just part of it, it's a big piece. However, I think it starts with having the right DC in there who will teach the fundamentals.
Absolutely have to get some elite defensive talent in or a new DC will only be a temporary fix.

Hell last year we had no coaching changes, we get a 10-2 record this year and go to cotton bowl and boom 3 coaches in 3 days gone.

Personally, I'd love for it to be Sal Sunseri, I know a certain DB coach he might bring with him also.
He was on DTS yesterday and had great things to say about Arkansas, and Coach Petrino. Sounds like he might come if offered.
