if he's offered (and surely he will be), he's gotta go, right? i mean, if not now to Memphis as a HC, when does he get a HC job and to where?

IMO, that would be a mistake for Memphis but maybe he could generate some interest.

How about at least getting a little experience as an Offensive Coordinator first. Porter is a lifetime running backs coach. Never been an OC or HC at any level. What makes him qualified to be a head coach all of a sudden? Because he was a former Memphis running back, he's qualified to be their head coach all of a sudden?.......

It is Memphis afterall. Not like any big name is going to take a look, and maybe they want a "Memphis-man"
