Coaching searches are never determined by single wins and losses

Just not how it works. If an AD has their guy, the rest of the seasons wins and losses are irrelevant.

If you follow OU and Riley, these close games and upsets with cupcakes shouldn’t surprise you. It’s every year.. Riley fan boys are impressed by his overall record and heisman qbs. They either don’t care about winning big games or they don’t follow cfb outside of the sec

I don't think that's completely true. A potential head coach should be determined by their body of work. Each game ads to that body, but it shouldn't override the rest of it.

We live in a society where you’re only judged through recency bias and it’s exacerbated within the college football world by the media. This is happening so often now all of fandom has followed suit. Hell, look at this boards opinion of the coaching staff from fall camp, after first loss, into mid season, after the bama game, and today. Everyone is jumping to conclusions and making shite up.
Whichever coach is hired will work out at LSU. Look at the track history of the last three….
