As a Patriots fan, if Josh McDaniels is interested we should go allllll out for him. Our offense would be beautiful and he has done a great job with Mac Jones and a pitiful group of slow receivers. I'd rather have McDaniels than Riley.

This being repeated all over this board sums up the differences in our programs and their expectations. You guys are cool with 7+ wins and occasionally beating a UF or LSU when they are down. LSU is after titles and actually wins them. Dan Mullen beat LSU a few times while at State. Did that keep him from being fired for trying to take his brand of football and coaching philosophy where it won’t work? Stoops needs to stay with you guys and your program standards and he’ll be set for life.

Meh. I think he’s just saying this is not the year to be calling him a “loser.” You can not want him—I don’t to even entertain the idea he’s a possibility—without calling him a loser. Makes the OP look like a fricking moron. That said, he probably is a fricking moron and simply can’t help himself.

One year doesn’t change anything. He’s a good coach who’s success is specific to where he is. Calling him a great coach or worthy of this job is no less of a ridiculous exaggeration than calling him a loser.
