I haven't heard that part.
They have to do that to justify more money. They can't (or won't) pay a DLine coach $400k or $500k. That's good coordinator money. So, to match what Ed is making at the Saints, they drop the Assistant/Associate head coaching tag, which really is an honorary tag, particularly in a scheme where the head coach is on the opposite side of the ball. Orgeron will work for the DC on the coaching side and the HC on the recruiting side. I assume Henson is staying, so he keeps the Recruiting Coordinator tag (which, as someone astutely pointed out is not really the recruiting guru, but the guy who actually schedules the recruiting events, paperwork, etc).

True enough. My message is what it is.

La007, what do you base your prediction or know how from?
I hope it happens, but what gives you this confidence?
If anything we have learned the last 3 weeks is, blogs and experts have been way off.

Nothing more or less than what my posts of today indicate, and the entire context of the recent history of Orgeron and LSU/Miles, etc.
If Orgeron would blatantly lie about the situation to some guys that I know of from this area who were down for the c/ship games.... okay, take it for what it's worth.

Tennessee Board posters still think O is headed to Tennessee
IS HE COMING TO UT OR NOT?
More than likely, yes.
No need to shout.

I was at the games and the thing that I know was he told a few in state coaches that everything was good!

Both Vol and LSU fans repeat after me:
"Probation is bad"

TB reporting that source close to Walker said Walker has not been contacted by Miles. I REALLY hope Miles has a plan in all this, and that it wasn't to sit back and see what happens on his staff before getting an agreement with a coordinator in place. It is looking like there is a decent chance that Mallory and Peveto will land at NM and NW, but I have to believe that he has\had a contingency plan for when this happened, or in case it didn't happen. There is just so much misinformation out there that it is hard to ascertain what is actually going on.

Since most Vols are, or have been, on probation, we'll take your word for it.

It has to be their Agents ... Listening to Pat Dye today, he blamed Jimmy Sexton for about 95% of all the rubbish out on the blogs over the AU hiring.
I think it is true (agents leak information).. The agents put feelers out, or just information, to get their cleints name out, get raises etc..
If the UCLA boards are reporting rumors with salary figures on Walker to LSU, how in the world does that stuff just get made up and so report, "yeah I heard the same thing"? It's coming from somewhere... I don't think people are just have fun with others, I think there is legitimacy to these rumors.. but it must Agent to agent talks first...
Every coach says, No, we haven't talked with them..

Nor was Saban ever contacted by Bama. Sometimes these things just materialize out of the blue.
