Congrats on the promotion

Going to be a huge transition going from option style to a pro/spread offense.

Could be a solid hire for them

Helton and Butch Jones going from P5 to the Sun Belt. apparently it's becoming a coaching mecca.

Who is the last fired/retread coach to work out?
Seems like this is always a path to failure.
Mack Brown is doing OK. Orgeron was a retread with some early success, but ultimate failure.
I would never hire a retread. If I'm a small school like Georgia Southern, I'm always looking for a young, aggressive coach trying to work his way up.

why do it fast?
do it slow, and keep the spread option aspect

Dana Holgorsen - Houston
Sonny Dykes - SMU (was a one year stop at TCU)
Gus Malzahn - UCF (it was working until they lost their QB)

Mike Leach - Miss St

Neither of these are retreads. They just left for "better" jobs in their opinion.
Dykes and Kiffin are good examples of it working out. Freeze as well, although he got fired for cheating, not for being a back coach.
