I always laugh when Peterson is brought up for every single big coaching hire. The guy has basically affirmed he is not going to be a commodity that just packs up and goes to the highest bidder.

He has to play one good Div 1 team and one on the edge each year. Imagine Les having to play Va tech and Nevada with a bunch of spares on the schedule.
Boise st needs to join the Big 12 and play some people.

disagree. if he wins, he can be an atheist. and every fan of that school will worship at his knees
the problem in the south is recruiting. You've got Chizik and Trooper in mama's ear about the program's commitment to God and reminding her that the coach at the other school is an atheist.

He is happy making 1.5 million, lives in a nice place and is treated like a god there

I'm not sure about this. Read the article linked above about his son. Scientologists don't tend to talk about "God" (scientology is more quack psychology than a religion). He might be a Christian Scientist, which people are confusing with Scientology. Waaaay different, however. Christian Science falls under the umbrella of Christianity. Could be wrong about him, though. I've never seen any evidence of his religion other than what people state on message boards.

I think you're probably right. Do you know this for sure?

One of my best friends has been a professor @ Boise State for 20 years. He knows the coaches well. I talk to him often @ visit out there some. This is where I get my info.
Peterson loves Boise and the quality of life out there and who could blame him? Harsin, the OC, is a graduate of BSU and loves it as well.
If LSU wants a great offensive mind they should go after Harsin but I don't think he would leave Boise for Baton Rouge. My friend says there is only one way to find out. Throw the money out there.
