Ditto. And this isn't about O, heck, who can blame the man for grabbing his dream job, especially once he realized all it took was a binder on par with a high schooler's book report to get it? This is about dumb and dumber at the top of this institution. They must go. Soon.

Why would he show stats from 7-8 years ago?

No he stopped at 3 because if he went to 4 years it would show lsu is 2nd in the sec west in wins. Thats why he stopped at 3.

I wasn't crazy about O getting a job like Lsu but I am holding out hope. Miles was very good at getting the talent in but he was stubborn snd too old school. O brings the same recruiting prowess and is willing to take less $ to ensure a top staff which is crucial. No coach is good without a good staff and good players. O is already making strides to go with a modern spread type of offense. He's has the confidence from a lot of coaches and former players. These ppl know football. They know coaching and are saying he has what it takes to get Lsu back to championship level. I'm starting to gain confidence. I really think he can do what dabo has done at Clemson. Recruit - motivate - hire great staff.. We know he can do first two. If he gets the hiring part down Lsu is gonna be just fine.

Serious question. Are we the first school to PURPOSELY hire a subpar candidate, just so we could hire better coordinators? Seems like other schools would've already thought of that and proven it's worth, instead of LSU being the guinea pig.

OR has it been proven over and over again that the best HC are the ones who actually win championships?

I just have a hard time believing LSU is on the cutting edge

Yeah it's hard to believe our administration is doing some groundbreaking hiring where we hire the least qualified coach in the country just so we can hire great coordinators.
Id wouldve been ok with hiring Aranda.
We were sold on Orgeron recruiting and we have had multiple recruits jump ship .

Because the West is our primary competition. And I'm sorry, but 10-10, with our level of recruiting absolutely IS a failure.
