Everyone has forgotten about Gill. Charlie Strong will be the one the media demands a school to hire.

A relative footnote: an appeals court threw out the judgment for Jerry Baldwin. For those who may not know, Baldwin was hired as coach at Louisiana-Lafayette. He went something like 6-26 in three years and was fired; he is now a reverand somewhere in LA. He then sued the school claiming that he was fired because he was black. He won a $2.5M judgment. This event has been speculated to be a hindering impediment in the hiring of black coaches. Schools have been afraid of hiring a black coach because should they eventually fire him they could be on the hook for a lot of money in addition to a whole lot of bad publicity. No one really cares about Louisiana-Lafayette, but if this occurred at a high profile school you can bet it would be a media spotlight.
