He’s done a tremendous job everywhere he’s coached.

Not a horrible idea. I just looked up his resume and I bet if he can get Wake into 9 win territory the next few years he'll get some looks

He was the offensive coordinator during Fulmer's last year at Tennessee, and they hated him. He was an awful offensive coordinator for the Vols. It would be like pushing Gary Crowton for the LSU job just because he coached here and had success elsewhere along with head coaching experience.

That was 1 year and he's successfully turned around 4 programs...

Clawson is great, as long as you put him in the right spot.

He's proven himself to be a guy who can give you a steady rebuild. However, year 1-2 are a grind, especially on the offensive side of the football. You gotta be really patient with him. He does better with football players as opposed to athletes.

UT etc wouldn't be a good fit for him, & FSU not a good fit at this point in time, he'd be too much like Jimbo.

I'd be curious to see him at a big time program. I wonder about his ability to recruit.

The thread title is "Can't believe (no one is) talking about Dave Clawson." Where Tennessee is concerned, I just told you why Tennessee isn't talking about him. Their fans hate him. That hire up there would be on par with the vitriol for Schiano.

I can't speak for other schools.

Les Miles 2.0 i follow the program pretty closely. He gets very nervous and conservative at weird times which costs his team. His dc from last year Mike Elko is a damn fine coach though.

He wasnt awful as much as the Clawfense was to complicated to implement in the season he had. Obviously, yall have experienced "The Legion of the Miserable" enough by now to know that patience isn't their strong suit.

I almost mentioned him last week, but didn't want to add to the fire. Ha. I would like for him to be looked at. Maybe Fulmer will.

The WF roster isn't really NC heavy...he pulls recruits from everywhere.

That recruiting style might be a good fit at a place like UVA, or maybe even Notre Dame.
