If they can see the writing on the wall with O's tenure and Aleva's/ LSU BOD's ineptness...Who, in their right mind, would jump into that cesspool of doom and shite?

It is a cesspool in yours and the minds of Tiger fans. Not necessarily in the mind of a coach that wants to make a lot of money as LSU is known to be at the top of the salary range and a coach who sees not only the talent on the roster but the talent in Louisiana alone. Fan perception or attitude towards the program is entirely different than a coach making his way up the ladder in his career.

You can’t expect Any coordinator to come , because we never looked for one. This whole “search” has been nothing but smoke and mirrors. I really hope that I’m wrong and that we will all be gifted with a great OC that we didn’t see coming, but I don’t think so.

I just for the life of me can’t understand how they convinced Terrace Marshall to sign knowing that SE was the pick. I thought for sure that him signing meant that we had a good OC in the bag.

The cesspool is people like you on this board who are maniacal and outlandish with hate and posts this. We are loaded for 2018 and although Ensminger is not my first choice, he is very solid coach. Our prospects are better than you think.

Whether we can realistically expect this or not, a top notch OC was promised to the fan base as part of the HC hire.

You raise a great question, because I've always believed if a school has a below average HC like LSU, that alone will limit the pool of elite coordinators willing to come to LSU. If you add that to the fact that LSU did hire an elite coordinator and fired the guy after 1 year, that magnifies the problem.

If we can't hire one at this point (e.g. we made a serious attempt but couldn't even find someone interested enough to interview), then what does that say? It says O and Alleva need to be fired immediately and we need to take a hard look at everyone involved in the decision-making process.

Again, I keep going back to the recent A&M DC hire. How could they make a serious run at Aranda, force us to pay a lot more to keep him, then poach the ND DC the very next day? Why can't LSU do that?

Of course with the money we will pay. Not likely until a new head man is in charge or he suprises us all and wins big.
