I just don't really see why Cam Cameron would leave the NFL. He has been an NFL OC for years now and always seems to get a job.

I doubt he would take the job too but we paid Malzahn more than he is currently making and if he wanted to be a head coach again he has a 100% better chance at the college level of achieving that goal.

There's no way that man leaves the NFL to coach in Auburn, AL.

Bobby Petrino was the OC in Jacksonville in 2001 and left to take the same spot in Auburn the following season.

So, apparently my friend's dad (who works in the AD) knows who we've hired, but won't spill the beans.

Apparently this is due to him still coaching in the playoffs.

That leaves us with the Ravens, Patriots, Giants, and Niners.

Rivals board says it's Ver Steeg from Baltimore and that came from a former player.

Same here. Our coordinators would be named Van Gorder and Ver Steeg though.

I like it, he will bring a strong running game back to Auburn.

ok so let's look at candidates here:

John Morton (49ers WR coach)

Reggie Davis (49ers TE coach)

Jack Bicknell JR. (Giants asst. O.line coach)

Craig Ver Steeg (Ravens O Asst.)

Candidates recently eliminated from playoffs:

Tyke Tolbert (Broncos WR Coach) (Sec experience)

Greg Knapp (Texans QB Coach) (hasn't coached in college since mid 90's)

Larry Kirksey (Texans WR Coach) (SEC experience)

Joe Lombardi (Saints QB Coach)

Terry Malone (Saints TE Coach)

I left out all guys who have never coached in college football or since 2000.
