I haven't seen anyone bring up his name... but it seems like someone UM could pull at the right price. He spent 10 years coaching there under Schembechler.

could be, but he's got a great gig at LSU with not much pressure on him apparently.

I guess I'm just surprised it hasn't come up... he's also 8 years younger than Miles.

They really haven't been moving at a quick pace with their search. I guess if they get turned down by the 2nd tier of coaches he could be a possibility. He's really only done a great job at one stop, sd oc.

A) They fired their coach 4 days ago. Regular companies don't replace personel that quick. A major university with any sense doesn't replace a head coach quickly unless it was in the works prior to the firing of the previous coach. Quick decisions have a tendency to bite back hard.
B) You don't have insider info, so you don't know what their pace has been.

Thanks for the lesson dad

He asked why an oc coming off a lousy season hasn't been mentioned in the first few days of a major coaching search. Not hard to see the point I was getting at

They have been preparing for this for months. They know who they're after... Won't take long to get a YES.

i wish people would just write out a clear thread title that states or implies that the thread has no basis or real information or source

instead everyone just puts "_____ to ________?????!" so that everyone will open their useless thread

What is this supposed to mean? Is this another person who doesn't understand football and thinks Miles is awesome and it's just Fisher, Crowton, AND Cameron who are to blame?

Exactly - this is not a last minute decision. Cameron is still suspect as an OC at LSU. No way would MI risk it on that hire.

While you are correct, I'm thinking the powers that be at Mich. had a real good idea what was going down at lease a few weeks before it did. I'm also thinking that good ADs probably have a list of replacements they might be interested in for every sport in their wallet or in their mind.

Shouldn't take Mich. long unless they are waiting for this weekends games to get done.

If it drags on past this weekend, they might be having problems getting the guy they want. imo

Right now Michigan fans are believing their paysite guys that Sean Payton would consider coaching up there.

I thought A&M was delusional.

There are few, if any, successful NFL guys who are gonna want to drop down to the college level.

Now, NFL failures like Steve and Nick couldn't wait to get out of the big boy league.
