Not saying he is going anywhere, or being considered, but he should. I was really impressed with his post game interview in the MAC championship. And he seems to be a good coach. He would be a great hire.

Nothing against you but i'm going to throw up the next time I hear about how Turner Gill deserves a head coaching gig at a big time program because of " how well spoken he is". That coupled with the " you could tell he is passionate about the kids in his program during his interview" comments make me sick. Nobody, including the ESPN talking heads, watched The U of Buffalo play one whole game or could even tell you what kind of offense he will run at his new job. Even so, to a man, they are all saying he deserves a big job and the only reasons are the ones I cited earlier. I don't think he doesn't deserve one, but my point is that I don't think anyone has watched enough UB football to know one way or another. The drumbeat for someone/anyone to hire him is getting louder and louder. I think it is demeaning to Turner Gill, in fact.

The drum beat is loud because he took a team that had been an underdog in every game they played for 7 straight years to a conference title in 3 years. I don't care who you are, that's very impressive

This is the only valid reason i've heard. I haven't heard any questions about whether or not he can get it done at a big time program, just that he deserves one, now. You know, all the questions that any other little known MAC coach who might make the jump to the SEC, Pac10, or Big12 would have to answer in the court of public opinion. Like I said, I don't know that he should or shouldn't get a better gig, but he's getting the royal treatment from the talking heads.
