FWIW a couple of the insiders liked Brady the most to get the job of the three young OCs when the process first started. My biggest hang up on Joe would be what kind of contact tree does he have on the DC side of the ball.

You’d think Saleh is pretty respected at this point and would hopefully be able to bring in someone to put Lawrence in the best position to succeed.

Saleh would be a pretty good hire, itespecially at this stage, it just doesn’t feel very sexy of a hire and khan may want that. I think he’s gonna be a hot candidate next year if he doesn’t go somewhere this year and just consults or is a DC somewhere

Maybe he’s terrible in his own right but he wasn’t the issue with the Jets

Well I’m sure it gets arse chapping for HCs when you are losing your coordinators every year. Id get tired of the contestant turnover myself.

Getting annoyed with being too successful is a good way to ensure you are never successful for long.

Much better problem to have to replace your coordinators consistently because they are getting hired for bigger jobs than it is to have the same coordinators for 5 years that suck.

with Baalke in place he was a buffer between you and ownership and clearly has ownerships favor, so you’re setting yourself up to get fired with him around when things go south and there’s a lot of history to back that up.

Exactly. As a coach looking at a role my guess is that you would expect at least 3 or 4 years to get things going in the right direction. Baalke has been a GM for 10 seasons and has fired, what? 6 coaches? 5 of them being one and done. Peterson's 3 years was the longest stretch that a coach served while he's been a GM. From what I understand, rumor was that he wanted Peterson gone last year. Take away Petersons run and he's fired the coach pretty much every year.

If Baalke is part of the organization, you either need a massive guaranteed contract or a direct line to ownership. The direct line to ownership doesn't seem to be how Shad Kahn like to work. He's seems very hands off with football operations. Essentially, you'd need to get generational money or just walk away. Looks like a lot of guys are walked away and it Kahn couldn't let it continue.
