Brady Hoke as a DC

Apparently he's interviewing for Oregon's vacant spot. He was terrible at UM as HC but have no idea what to think of him as a DC. Can any UM fans weigh in on this?

Uh, not sure I would trust him with anything other than the D line. I thought he might try for HC at a lower P5 or non P5.

Has he been a DC before?

I think once as a high school coach. He was a head coach or DL coach. The only thing I can think is he is a good recruiter.

He was a HC for a decade so I'm sure he knows Xs and 0s but I don't think he has any playcalling experience unless he called plays as HC at Ball St or San Diego St
