What about Pete Carrol? Jim Tressel?

Why stick with college? Why not Belichick?

Lateral move from one of the NCAA's top five all-time programs, earns a top three salary that LSU wouldn't want to match(unless that salary was earned via a crown on LSU's watch?), the SEC a much tougher conference/BCS contention platform, plus may miss OU's Dallas area recruiting..

Then again, he may want to butt heads in the SEC with it's HCs, may come to love LSU/La skill talent, and think he can add more Tejas talent to LSU's current pipeline?

An extreme longshot that is off the board, though certainly an NCAA top ten HC.

I hate Stoops and I don't think I could ever grow to like him and by no means do I want him at LSU.

Bob Stoops is a piece of shite on the level of Tuberville. In fact, I'd take TT over Stoops any day.

Why move to a conference where you have 4-5 really tough games per year vs. one where typically you have 1, maybe 2, tough games to get a free ticket to the NC game....

1) Don't like Stoops (arrogant, aloof, defensive)...much like our buddy Saban
2) He wouldn't consider a job like LSU unless he's on the verge of getting run off by Sooner fans....which might not be too far off if he continues to lose to the TTech's of the world!!

This is why I don't see a big-time coach at a big-time Big XII or Big 10 school heading to LSU, especially when they have been successful. You come to the SEC to see if you can win. Once you get here, you never leave (see Spurrier and Saban). If you can prove yourself in the SEC, you are set. If you can prove yourself in the Big XII, you are even more set, because you are always in the running for a title.
