Heard it on talk radio this afternoon (610 AM) and they sound as if K-State has extended an offer to Snyder to take over the program if he wishes to do so. They've pretty much let him take the wheel in this matter, and it appears any candidate in the running will be subject to his discretion--maybe not sole discretion, but you can bet Snyder has a strong say-so in the matter.

This is all hearsay. I'm not confirming, nor denying any of this--spoken like a true agnostic.
Anyway, back to the matter at hand; this was reported by talking heads on 610 AM Sports Radio up here. According to their sources, the K-State officials have extended the offer to Snyder and nothing more, nothing less. It's his for the taking--if he wants it.
My opinion regarding this development: They're essentially doing this out of respect for the man that built this program into a perennial power--which is reasonable. I think this gesture displays the utmost respect for Snyder.

They were a perennial 1-AA power. Take those schools,Iowa State,Mo.,Ks,and Coloradao off their schedule and they're sub 500 team!

Are you retarded? This is a team that blew out Oklahoma in the 2003 Big XII Championship Game, 35-7. He was one game from playing Tennessee for the national title in 1998, but lost to Texas A&M in the CCG. 1997, their only loss was to eventual co-national champion, Nebraska. They finished 11-1 and handed Syracuse a beat down in the Fiesta Bowl.
Prior to Nebraska in 1998, they had not given up double digits more than once (20 points to Oklahoma State in a 52-20 win). That's eight games of 9 points or less scored on them. Then of course, the end of the season they kind of tapered off, losing to A&M and then Purdue on a last-second TD in the Alamo Bowl.
1999, a 1-loss season. Only loss was to Nebraska.
2000, 11-3. Lost to OU 41-31 during the season, A&M by 16, and then OU in the CCG by only 3. OU won the NC that year.
2001 they kind of had an off-year at 6-6, but they bounced back in 2002 to go 11-2, followed by 11-4 with a Big XII title in 2003, and then things went to shite.
I'd check my facts before posting something as absurd as saying K-State was a perennial 1-AA power.
And for the record, the logic you're using--taking schools in their conference's division off the schedule--is outdated and extremely fallible this day in age.
