The reason why it's a "prospective staff" is that half the NFL dudes listed won't come. I'm sure last week you would have put Tosh on there.

If he gets 50% of the NFL guys it's a good percentage there's a reason not many drop down

With Judge being retained, I don't see why Sale would leave the Giants after one year for an OL position in college. He was "co-OC" his last year at UL but it's fair to say that was just a title, not a job description.

Why do UF fans think he's coming?

I assume you’re talking about at ULL and maybe you can explain to me how averaging 18,000 fans a game when not all that long ago they were averaging 30,000 a game is changing the culture?

They had 14,000 people at the Troy game. That’s for a team having maybe its best season ever. I have to think that somethings going on over there that’s causing the fans to stay away from a pretty successful football team.

Maybe so but you can hire better coordinators than the guys you had at ULL

Well, your boy Dave Aranda was impressed enough with his last DC that he hired him at Baylor. His last OL coach went to the pros.

Maybe Napier knows quality coaches

Judge is a dead man walking, we all know that. How many coaches have saved their job after a “vote of confidence” or another yr to do so?

Sale n Napier are said to be very good friends. If Sale wants job security, it’s here more than in NY

This year ULL averaged 22.5K attendance over seven home games including the SBC title game. Their six regular season home games included one Tuesday game (App State, 20,066) and two Thursday games (Ohio, 17,709; and Georgia State, 16,007). Saturday attendance averaged 25,918.

The Troy game was on the road this year.

Don't know what you're implying here, but they're not "staying away."

LOL, he had that at UL and could have foreseen that Napier would make his P5 move sooner than later. I'm not saying he won't end up at ULL, but "job security" is only one consideration of many.

There's ample evidence that NFL coaches are open to college jobs, but they don't move to take the same job they had or have.

I want Napier to be successful (just not at FLA).

I don't want him to be successful at all. It would be hilarious if he flops at Florida while BK wins a national championship at LSU. Just like it was great watching O win a championship and Tom Herman getting canned a year later.

Yeah, ULL only had 3 backs (1 a Freshman) with over 600 yards rushing, all avg over 5 ypc, accounted for 28 tds on the ground this season.

Last ULL RB now starts for the 9ers.

Funny, but was that the only game UL-L gave away free tickets to all the local high schools and the parents of same?

Could you see LSU / BAMA / etc doing this?

Interesting perspective. Yet there are some criticizing Kelly bc he’s also looking at people he has worked with before.

If LSU had hired Napier and proceeded to just bring his ULL staff, I wonder how those folks would feel about that.

Nice try, but there is a big difference between stealing coaches away from Notre-fricking Dame and hiring a staff from ULL. Shouldn't have to state the obvious. He may do fine, but this is a worrisome start for Napier.

Ya mean like Corey Raymond? Or Jabbar Juluke who already coached at LSU and Texas Tech? Or Rob Sale who is in the NFL or the receiver coach from USC....Worry about our house not Napiers...He's fixing to steal JaCoby Matthews right out of our back yard..

This is stupid, Kelly is hiring coaches from other top college jobs or the NFL, or guys who have renowned within the industry, and these are guys within his personal coaching circle. Napier is hiring guys from ULL because he doesn't have the network Kelly does.

His on-field staff will have 3/10 coaches who he brought from UL.

He has hired coaches whose latest stops were at Michigan State, USCw, and LSU.

He will fill the rest of the openings with:

Karl Scott (Vikings)
Eric Henderson (LA Rams)
Rob Sale (Giants)
Chris Rumph (Bears)

Sounds like top college jobs (- MSU) or the NFL to me.

Great post, ya know chickens little chicks on here don't understand the truth. Napier will own CBK, more problems at LSU than folks actually know about and the biggest one is calling the shot..

They had 18,000 for the ULM game to watch them go 11-1 for the season. Hudspeth lead the sunbelt in attendance one year and his teams had numerous attendance highs for their stadium including one game of over 36,000.

All I’m saying is that I find it a little strange for a team with that kind of record to not have more fan attendance.

Find it a little strange that LSU wants to bust UL's balls when they have been the best team in Louisiana back to back years finishing in the top 15 both times...Billy will own CBK....Mr. Notre Dame just here for the $$$

Best team in Louisiana

The best record in Louisiana doesn’t necessarily denote the best team in Louisiana. LSU played their normal extremely difficult schedule and ULL played their normal extremely weak schedule. The only team of note you played was Texas and Texas beat you by three touchdowns. Least we forget, that was a 5-7 Texas team.

You guys had a good year. Congratulations to the Cajuns. I was just wondering why the attendance seems to have dropped even though it may have been the best team y’all ever had.

Actually your last statement is a great question...Hudspeth had them packed in there and Billy won way more games than him...I'm guessing Covid?? In the last two years without disrespecting the Tigers I do not think people were staying home to watch that..Maybe the local guy can get them in there..Coach Dez
