Dude, I'm sure he didnt know, just as Les probably didn't know the other day, he also said Michigan hadn't shown Les the money, apparently thats changed
Maybe my hmmmmmmmmmmm email was correct then?
6 million per for 5 years...
Apparenlty Miles has been saying "no"...and then UM threw the farm at Miles to get him to say yes

I still believe that. the UM job isn't that appealing other than the fact he's an alum and loves it. LSU is cruise control and that mess up there is an epic up hill battle.
And this is my wild card argument for why Les will take the job. The money matters and an extra million is nice, but the Michigan job would satisfy his competitiveness and get him out from underneath a perceived shadow in Baton Rouge. If he goes to Michigan and turns the program around, he will be the guy who resurrected the program...not just the guy who took over a program where the cupboard was stocked and maintained the success. And what better place to do that than his alma mater. It's a last stop gig for him. If he goes to UM and fails (and I don't believe he will fail)...he can always say he tried, and can move on to coach at another D-I school later...or just retire a wealthy man. If he doens't go, he'll always have the "what if" factor of his career's reflection...always have naysayers who attribute his significant success at LSU to the LSU that Nick Saban built. If he bolts for Big Blue and turns the program around, beats Ohio State more than he loses, and wins a couple of Big Ten Championships (or maybe more), he'll be the savior of his alma mater, cast forever as Bo's boy who made Michigan powerful again.

I see..
But this is a very vague statement to even keep talking about for 4 pages.
But what do I know? I just look at this as "I, nor does anyone else, really know what's going on and until the meeting happens, we won't know.."
Sound about right? LOL

I still think he stays but it is very fluid. No one know FOR SURE, not even miles. All I can say is that from what I've been told is that it seems like he is staying. There hasn't been serious talks with Michigan at all yet so a whole lot is still unknown.

CLM is going to UM
Any idea who's on the top of the list to replace him?

Who is belowpar anyway? Have any of the rantards actually figured out who that is or does everyone just take his word as it is?
It doesn't matter who belowpar is, what matters is that there is good reason to believe he has good sources of info. The problem in this case is that we don't really know what Michigan is going to throw at Les. Based on history, it seems the odds that UM offers a sizeable raise are very low, but if they offer 5 or 6 mil to Les he's gone. We shall just have to wait and see.

It's not a violation of his contract for his agent to have contact with UM, and in turn, for his agent to contact Miles.

Sec C: ...neither COACH nor his agent, shall, under any circumstances, discuss or negotiate directly or indirectly his prospective employment with any other instituiton of higher education or professional athletic team...

There's one big hole in this: A BOOSTER'S PLANE HAS BEEN SITTING IN BR SINCE SUNDAY.
Although you did effectively shoot down my theory about Miles, his agent, and UM.
Bravo

Would you wager a permanent ban from TD on this information?

it would take a real douche bag to even consider giving up his true identity.
belowpar has always simply given an opinion based on what he has learned being a little closer to the program than any of us are.

unfortunately this pisses some off because they like to think that the information they got from their cousin's boss, who is friends with a TAF big-wig, is as solid as it comes..

Don't want you to reveal your source but can you do anything more to help us gauge it's genuiness?
Type of work he does? Things he tipped you on before that proved true (with a link)?
Seems like everyone has a source saying he is going or saying he is saying.
You seem very definitive.

He's gone.
I seem definitive too, and have no sources whatsoever.
I would be interested also in the information you requested from Charles.

Yeah....and if you believe that, I've got some ocean-front property in Colorado to sell you...

Yes but, while I don't know him, I recognize his handle and he's never been one to try to be "the source" nor has he been overly reactionary to anything. Hence, I hope he can give us a little more color on why he seems so convinced
