This isn't who I want, but rather a sensible guess as to the direction Alleva/TAF will go. Pinkel fits in with how they found and hired Saban and Les. Good teams while recruiting to less than desireable locations/programs.

Also, Bellotti would be someone worth an interview. He said he wants to coach again.

I would feel very comfortable with either of them. Way more comfortable with them than 99% of the idiot Gruden, Del Rio, Fulmer (I still can't believe this was actually a thought in someone's brain) threads.

I would love a Bellotti hire. That would be awesome.

Bellotti is a west coast guy and wouldn't come to the deep south. Now Pinkel sounds like a good choice for sure

I'd take Pinkel, pass on Bellotti.

They won the Pac-10 when he was there. He had a lot of really good teams. Remember, he very well would have been playing in the NC game if Dennis Dixon doesn't get injured.

He finished number 3 in the country and had several really good years with Joey Harrington.

He has a really good resume. Please know you info before making ignorant posts.

Bo to Bellotti. That classless ahole dogged LSU all year in the "experts". He sucks as an analyst.

Why is everybody in love with Pinkel? His teams never finish what they start. No thanks.

More like as soon as Sanchez left and USC went to the shitter that Oregon started winning the conference. They always won a lot. Remember they were poised for the Title game before Dennis Dixon blew his knee out in the 2nd to last game of the season.

He certainly would be better than Pelini.

Pinkel is the most likely guy though.

He's also at Mizzou. His teams always seem to have good qbs, are well coached, and are very competitive with the Big 12 powerhouses. I'd much prefer him over somebody like Sumlin

Not in love, just telling you who is likely to replace Les.

Pinkel is an awful gameday coach and almost never makes half time adjustments. He can stay at Mizzou, I don't want him at LSU. He also can't lock down his own state in recruiting and he's at the only 1A school in the state.

BINGO. This is why he shouldn't be at LSU:
