Agreed.

If we have to settle, why not roll the dice on Fleck? Hell, take a chance on a guy who could at least turn out to be the next star, don't settle for "he wouldn't be bad"

So just to be clear. If Coach O wins out, meaning he beats Alabama (#1), Arkansas, Florida (#10), and A&M (#7), which means a potential trip to the SEC championship game and/or major Bowl. In that case you wouldn't want him to get the job? He wouldn't have earned it? And this would be "settling"?

I know this is not probable, but I am just curious if the opposition to Coach O is where NOTHING he does this year would be enough.

Nope, that's not what I said. The OP hypothesized what O could do. I didn't see where he said if O wins out.

For clarification, if O wins out and we make the playoffs and/or win the NC, then of course he'd deserve the chance IMHO.

I'm not against O. I just don't think we need to make that decision right now or even if he beats bama that's all I'm saying. Let the season finish up and see how he's done. If that's unfair to O or anyone else, I certainly apologize to anyone I offended

I just replied you your post because it was the last one, didn't mean you specifically more generally to everyone that strongly opposes coach O.

And I agree, no decision should be made until the end of the year and the entire body of work is looked at.... for each available candidate.
