Butch Davis- No thanks
Tommy Bowden- No thanks
Jimbo Fischer- No thanks
They better pray Grobe accepts, or they are going to have to wait until Duke hires one to offer him the job.

We give coaches pay raises.

hey hog, what do you think your record will be over the next 3 years against Ole Miss?

I think Grobe is a quality coach. He would be a good hire for the Hogs. If I was a Hog fan, I would much happier with Grobe than Tommy Bowden or Jimbo Fisher.

not sure..Could be a toss up the next 2 years.

Not good. Coach O left Ole Miss in a better position than "The Coach who was Fired" left Arkansas.
In fact, The Coach Who was Fired walked into more talent/ a better team in 1998, than the next Arkansas will inherit this upcoming season.

Agreed. I did not see any 10 win seasons on Bowden's record, and that is in the ACC.

That is what I was thinking. Ole Miss has had some good recruiting over the past two years, and it seems that Arkansas' last two classes were down. Nutt always seemed to get more out of his talent then he should.
So if your record against Ole Miss is "not good" is Arkansas looking at the cellar in the West the next few years- until the next coach can get the "process"

Its going to be tough the next few years for whoever the coach is.

Which is more of a reflection of "The Coach who was Fired" more than anyone else.
Remember there have been some talented players that were in essence ran off from the program by "The Coach who was Fired" and the MSM (Murray State Mafia).
It will catch up at Ole Miss too.
Another point being, whose fault is it if the Head Coach has to use less talent? Most would agree the Head Coach is responsible for getting the players he needs to succeed.

Problem is that Arkansas will not get much better talent than it is currently getting. I just don't see why Arkansas fans don't understand this.

Using scout.com ratings, Ole Miss & Ark recruiting has been exactly the same the past 5 years.
I would say that makes Ole Miss quite the underachiever. Of course the Ole Miss ratings include Mr. Powe every year.

scout doesn't evaluate prospects good. Scout had deangelo williams as a 1star.

Scout's big problem is usually that there's bias thrown into the rating depending on what schools they're interested in.
If DeAngelo Williams had said he was interested in USC, LSU, and Notre Dame instead of Memphis and two other non-BCS programs, I'm sure he'd have been bumped up to a 2 or 3 at the least.
Going to a historically weak Memphis program got him labeled as a subpar recruit, IMHO.

I think rivals evaluates better then scout but thats imo. Felix Jones was a 3 star and mcfadden was a 4 star.

Aside from using Scout, remember that Arkansas biggest recruits Mustain & Williams from two years ago transfered.
2006- w/ Mustain 5 star & Williams 4 star still was only at 26. Without them 35-40?
2007 Last years class wasn't in the top 30(rivals), 9th in the SEC
