His offense could be very very good for Pitt, if they have a solid QB and WR core that will allow him to sling it around spread style 40+ times per game like he wants.

He did suck. He had us playing a preventive defense, which was the main reason you guys scored with a minute left to win in 2013. We may have had more talent on defense last year then this year, but the difference under Robb Smith has been nothing short of amazing.
Having said that, I don't know how to explain his success at Ohio State. I only know that he sucked at Arkansas.

No he's not, Fickell was demoted to LB coach and given the "co-DC" title to save face since he's a Buckeye alum. But Ash is the DC and is calling the defense, and he didn't suck at Arkansas your players suck.
And
at Arkansas fans who think they're gonna upgrade from Jim Chaney. Where exactly is Bert gonna get a Pro-style OC to run his offense? In case you haven't noticed most teams run the spread these days. It's slim pickins out there for Pro-style OC's, and the odds that Bert gets a good one are slim. Hell UGA had to settle for that bum Brian Schottenheimer, and you think Arky's gonna get a good Pro-style OC? Arky FUUUUUUUCKED.

He's had fine success in the Big 10 whether at Wisky or OSU. He just isn't a fit for the SEC.
The level of competition he faces up there is a big thing to.
