It is a very good hire and someone within the family. I just hope they do not let too much time pass on football as early signing day is 3 weeks away

So I see. If Arky grabs him, they'll be my #2 team immediately

But Leach is also someone who has not lived up to what his predecessors did either.

But I am not getting into it. I hate Leach as a Coach not as much as a person. He is a liar like Petrino was.

This is about Gragg not Leach though, as I said it is a great hire.

Once in a lifetime opportunity not really sure why he would let race affect his hiring process.

There are very few truly elite guys.. maybe 2. He is a entertaining, proven guy and has done it largely with 3 star athletes so far

Yep looks like Frank Wilson is heading to Arkansas now as the next head coach.

I posted the Tulsa World link on first page.

I then commented how you can take it as gospel as the University of Arkansas and Razorback Foundation use the Tulsa and OKC markets to break their hirings. Have done that since Coach Broyles hired Coach Holtz.

Why would Hog fans want Leach?

They have had 3 messes in a row to clean up now.

What?

There's arguably no coach in the country better at cleaning up messes than Leach.

What mess did he clean up? Tech was in good shape when he got there after Dykes. Dykes had won the conference at least. The only reason Dykes was getting heat was because of Hanspard not going to class and the SID using the preacher angle on Hanspard to get him noticed. You can use the Bam Morris stuff, but all that happened after Tech and when he was in Pittsburgh. Plus Tech lowered the scheduling for him and also the bowl system started to explode when he was there.

Wazzu just made a terrible hire right before him, but was in the Rose Bowl previously with Doba and Price.

OU and UK I would say he had little to nothing to do with cleaning up or causing any of those messes.

Ya, in 2002. You can't make the argument that they weren't a mess before he got there.

It wasn't a complete disaster as you claim it was, but go ahead. As I said, people had won there before. I already said they made a terrible hire before him.

And that was the second of the Coogs Rose Bowls.

The list of coaches that could make that Wash St team a top 25 team isn't a long one

I never claimed it to begin with

Just such weak logic, I don't believe anyone said that Washington St. was an unwinnable place just they were a mess before he got there. You can't point to a rose bowl 10 years before he got there. That would be like me saying Arkansas has never been a mess since Petrino left because we made that Sugar bowl in 2010.

Mike Price
Dennis Erickson
Doba
Waldren
Jackie was at Wazzu I think before Pittsburgh
Warren Powers was there 1 year only before going to MU

I can not think of any other ones.

Erickson went to Miami after 1 year I think, maybe 2.

Price has been there the longest since Waldren everyone else moves on.
