Arkansas - Bielema out by xmas

Although this is not surprising in the least, my sources say that Bielema and AD Jeff Long are out at Arkansas before year end. Big donors want Malzahn. Pure speculation on my part - Butch Davis as AD.

Sounds like a terrible wish list. Why would Malzahn leave Auburn to go to shitty Arkansas ?

more power, less work/stress/pressure on a daily basis. no need to go to other parts of the country to recruit
BTW, I have no idea if butch davis is gonna be the AD. just listing reasons as to why being an AD is potentially better than being a D1 coach

Malzahn is safe this year. I think he gets a 2018 no matter what.
After that? He produces a big season or he's toast.
If Malzahn jumps to Arkansas, though, he'll get 3 years to start getting results. As an alum and "Arkansas guy," that might appeal to him at this particular moment in his life.

2. Like it or not, Auburn will always play second fiddle to Alabama. Arkansas is the flagship school of their state.
3. Northwest Arkansas is a better place to live.
4. Arkansas is Gus' home.
I'm not advocating it, or even believing it, just repeating what I heard. But yes there are valid reasons why Gus would leave Auburn and come to Arkansas.
