Are top candidates Harrell/Freeman at the moment?

Depending on which source you believe, it’s Harrell for OC and between Freeman and Mason on DC. Some say a strong lean Mason others say Freeman.

While I don’t think Mason would be a bad hire, just seems like way too much of an easy hire. I’d rather we go out of the box with Freeman or somebody else. Would also rather us go for a Linebacker coach type of coordinator which is Freeman’s strength

I like Freeman and Mason, both seem good, maybe Freeman is an ace in the hole, I don’t know, but when you talk about defenses and linebacker coaches, the best ones seem to be up north.

I posted a link for those wanting to read a little bit about Freeman as a recruiter, he seems to be an excellent choice the more I read. Former NFL player, played at Ohio state, and a young guy who is hungry. Would be a fantastic culture fit here, Mason would be a “double” type of hire. Freeman is a home run with the bases loaded.

Mason. I’ll try and go back and find my post but I said Mason a year ago had he been fired when we were looking. I think he’s the leader in the clubhouse. But things could change. Definitely not using terms like “done deal” ever again lol

I remember you talking about Mason last year, and he was my first thought when Pelini was fired.
I like Freeman, but Mason could do well.

Wtf are you talking about? LSU is one year removed from the best college team ever. That will affect this program for years to come. If he can make the correct hires before, he can make them now. He recruits better than 96% of other teams out there, on average. Some of y’all need to step away from the ledge.
