I dont think LSU wants a head coach to learn on the job... think they want experience!

Couldn't agree more. Didn't think someone would have to spell out to you that you don't tell a coach he gets a 3 year contract and his dc replaces him after that. Again, solid plan.

I would feel better with Aranda taking over vs Orgeron.

Am i wrong in feeling that Aranda is the MOST important on the lsu staff? Honestly, I don't care if it's jimbo, herman, fleck, o, or whoever else. If the new HC doesn't want to do whatever it takes to retain aranda i dont want them.

Out of curiosity, how well of a recruiter is Aranda?

He's never been really known for his recruiting ability. Overall he's way better than Chavis, but with this staff I would have them ranked at.

Orgeron
Raymond
Craig

Then you everybody else. Peveto could the 4th best recruiter on staff, same for Grimes. Juluke has only been a college coach for a few years, but he's pretty good and will get better. Ensminger is underrated.

Aranda would be somewhere in the middle of the pack. At Wisconsin he was known for finding low ranked, but talented guys who he could develop, which he did. So far at LSU it's his demeanor and intelligence that recruits love. But really you have the top 3 who are top notch, than everybody else who is a good recruiter. Than you have Austin Thomas, who is a beast at evaluating and recruiting.
