Cerebral coach with a no nonsense approach.

I won’t say Sabanesk…..

He's a safer bet than Riley.

Riley has a lower floor and a higher ceiling.

I’d say the exact opposite.

Really? Riley is facing an SEC defensive coordinator today and getting his arse handed to him by an SEC style defense without SEC talent.

I think Riley is going to find out you can't just outscore everyone in the SEC like he does to BigXII teams. At least Aranda knows what the SEC is about.

Honestly, as a rival fan I'd rather LSU hire Riley than Aranda.

is not a word.

Saban-esque might be what you mean.

He’s facing an elite sec defensive coordinator. There aren’t 14 Dave Arandas

While true I do think his offense gets you 9 wins a year and he’s been able to maintain it year after year and with multiple qbs.

Aranda has everything I want in a coach-known elite on one side at an elite school, and coaching as HC in a power 5 conference and doing well.

The thing is Lincoln has the same resume but 3 more years into his HC career.

Theres a risk that Aranda can’t maintain success, Riley has shown he can. So higher floor.

I just think defensive minds are fewer than offensive minds so Arandas ceiling is higher.

“Success” here needs an asterisk. Being the tallest midget in the room isn’t impressive.
