Anybody read Scooter Hobbs?

I've lived in Baton Rouge, read Rabalais, Dubois, and that other guy. For my money, Scooter Hobbs of the Lake Charles American Press is the best sports writer in the state.
Anyway, here's a link to today's paper where he discusses the Miles-to-Michigan situation.
My favorite part:
At any rate, the tone of the outrage seems to be shock and mostly stunned disbelief that Miles would choose to stay at a backwater bayou college when they have a perfectly good alma mater waiting on him up there.
Apparently they all think "The Waterboy" with Adam Sandler was a documentary.
Miles can't go home or back on his word (12/16)
(Come to think of it, Dubois used to write for the American Press, too, but Scooter's better)

I read it. Scooter writes some great stuff, although he can get a little obtuse at times.
I'm watching ESPN this AM, and 3 of the 4 analysts are still saying they think Miles will be the next coach of Michigan. Unbelievable they can think this.

Scooter Hobbs is a name out of the past for me. When I attended LSU he was the sports writer for The Revielle. Hadn't heard that name in a long time.

He's the best beat writer for LSU, hands down.

Hobbs is the best. I enjoyed him growing up in lake charles, and still try to read his articles today.
