Everyone is saying that LSU got played, but I have yet to hear that Jimbo is getting a raise from FSU. Without a raise or extension, what exactly did Fisher and Sexton get out of this deal?

Maybe by having the presser tonight, LSU has removed Sexton's leverage to get a raise/extension from FSU.

Even if Jimbo gets a raise, it still won't be proof of a offer/counter offer situation that our "insiders" trolls said happened.

FSU could very well look at the flattering chatter about their coach being wanted this year, and may want to situate themselves against the next "real" future offer.

Actually it would be proof that the conversations occurred because Jimbo got a raise earlier this year and I don't think there would be a big push to give him another within the same year after he loses 2 Conference games.
