Or just ppl talking out of their asses? Without using sarcastic, meaningless bullshite, what are your thoughts on the likelihood Houston hires Kiffin? If they do hire him, who are likely candidates? (BTW, I agree Canada is worthy of consideration ... would he leave Pitt? )

My "analysis" (guess) -- I don't think Houston hires Kiffin, and I think he's LSU OC by next Friday.

I don't think Kiffin leaves Bama for another OC job. I definitely think he doesn't leave during a playoff run

Personally I think Houston is going to go for an older coach who won't leave them after a few years. I think Kiffin is coming to Baton Rouge and will be here for a couple years. If LSU doesn't get Kiffin I think they get Helfrich.

The latest info is to the effect that Kiffin said he'll stay at Ala thru the playoffs. That conflicts w/ the rumors today was his last game. If he's not available next week, should LSU wait until the playoffs are over ... wouldn't there be a chance he could get a HC job at that point?

Personally, I wouldn't wait. Orgeron should be interviewing OC candidates. (I actually have more faith in him than in Alleva.)

Unless there were something wrong with his relationships at Alabama I don't understand why he would leave before the playoffs were over. Getting to be a part of potential NC run is a special opportunity.

Jumping to LSU seems like a lateral move, rather than just being patient and waiting for another lower tier school to give him another opportunity. I don't know what to make of the rumors after most of this year really. Is LSU being used again to create an option? As the primary objective? As a backup?

Dykes and Leach are both UH targets, who make one hell of a lot more sense than Kiffin for that job, regardless of Saban's lobbying. Tedford took the Fresno job and Kiffin isn't really in the running for Oregon, so I like him to join our staff, next week.

We'll see, but I like Orgeron to make a competitive hire at OC, regardless. Also, I think we'll see obvious improvements in recruiting on both lines and a renewed emphasis on Strength and Conditioning.

I don't know that I'm as optimistic as you but I prefer to think positively rather than negatively. Yeah, I think recruiting will continue to be good, and I hope Orgeron addresses the strength issues on the O line. I don't know what to think about Kiffin ... I don't think Houston is going to hire him, and based on his comments tonite, it doesn't sound like this was his last game @ Ala.?

I dont know. I suppose that he would have to maximize his salary leverage if he obviously isn't getting the H or O jobs. "Staying at bama" keeps the pressure on Aleva for top $.
