Whoever joins LSU's staff needs to be a good coach and an incredible recruiter! College football is more about getting the best players and doing a decent job of coaching them up. Alabama has been doing this for years! That's the reason Saban was so upset when one of his assistants took an OC job with Michigan and it was publicized how he had a hissy fit when he found out. The coach was his top recruiter and Saban knows it's going to be hard to replace him!

Eaux has hired elite coaches since he’s been here. No reason to think this will be any different

That’s been a funny comment on all three boards you’ve posted it on.

Doesn’t hurt my feelings at all. I laughed. All three times.

I have seen some speculation that LSU's passing game coordinator was going to come from the New Orleans Saints. Well guess we get to see if those rumors are true now.

Carmichael or the saints wr coach?
That's the only 2 I could see it being?
I heard it was someone from the NFL but that would be weird

I would welcome this, but the big problem lies in Orgeron's mentality on offense. He's just too chicken to be aggressive with a lead. This close to the vest mentality is likely to cost us 2 to 3 games every season.

Curtis Johnson was rumored to be coming to LSU before John Morton took the OC job w/ the Jets.

Another possibility could be Joe Lombardi who is the Saints QB coach.

This would be great news and an acceptable reason for the delay in filling the vacancy

Getting Joe Lombardi would be huge, He is a good qb coach and has a ton of offensive experience as oc and play caller in the nfl.

I just dont see Curtis leaving the Saints again he has a good job with the saints

Yeah I remember that.
Didnt think about Lombardi.
He would be more of a qb coach
And yeah don't see Carmichael or Curtis Johnson cause he already had the opportunity to come here

He has only been an oc for like a year.
Lombardi would be a weird hire to me unless it's just as a qb coach.

You looked at his bio lol?
And what did it say?
He has never really been an oc.
He was the oc for a year in Detroit and was in way over his head.
Think he only got that job because someone got fired
