“2. Matt Rhule – Carolina Panthers

Well, it apparently doesn’t matter who the Carolina Panthers have as their quarterback. They just can’t quite seem to win. This time, the Panthers were demolished by a stunningly mediocre Miami Dolphins team.

With a losing record last season and plenty of struggles this year, it’s clear that Carolina isn’t where it wants to be under Matt Rhule’s leadership.

When Rhule was hired, the Panthers seemed high on how he was able to turn the Baylor Bears into a winner during his time in Waco. Unfortunately for Rhule, the NFL is a drastically different game and it can be tricky to make that transition.

It’ll be interesting to see how much longer Rhule will get to stick around in the NFL. There are some interesting college jobs coming open if he wants to make the move back.”

The defense hasn’t been their issue, correct? Sounds like Rhule is more likely to replace the OC.

Some guys can do the transition, some guys cant. Always thought Ruhle to Carolina was a bit weird, Baylor, in a weak Conference is one thing, the NFL is a different monster.

Saban couldnt do it.

The defense isn't the whole problem, but they are known to keep it simple. They would rather be great in one base defense then average at multiple alignments.

His biggest problem was putting his eggs in the Sam Darnold basket and McCaffery being hurt. Darnold has been so terrible they brought in Cam Newton from his couch. Brady has also struggled as an NFL O.C.

We've all seen it before. The NFL game is different and some coaches are better at the college level. Rhule seems to be fitting that mold.

So, is this a Panthers'-initiated media campaign to move their fans away from Rhule? I'd take Rhule (and his staff including Brady) in a heart-beat. I wouldn't mind Rhule with Herman as OC, either.
