1-Nebraska has (allegedly) hired an LSU asst coach to be there head coach.

2- Michigan wants to have LSU's head coach as their own.

I have followed LSU since 1976 as a young kid. I would have never imagined this. We have come along way in the last 7 years.

WE ARE LSU!!!

Thats all fine and dandy but every time you hire a new coach your taking a gamble. When will our luck run out and we hire a dud?

We are on top and those schools want what we have. I would have never though Michigan and Nebraska would raid our coaching staff for 2 head coaches.

Our success is due in part to those men but not entirely. Lord knows Les and Bo are not perfect.

The important thing is......in 15 years we hire Jacob Hester as HC and OC. Then hire Craig Steltz as DC. We will finally have coaches w/ "direct" ties to the school, like Leslie has w/ Michigan, and will not have to worry about searching for one every other year. This is my plan and I'm stickin' to it. Its a pretty good f'ing plan.

LSU administering beat-downs almost every week on national television produces this result. Hopefully it will continue. Although it would be great to find a coach who is successful and motivated by a desire to build a dynasty. These are the coaches we remember... not those who skip from school to school. To me, a legendary coach is one that maintains success... builds an expectation of winning... year in, year out for an entire era. If I were a coach, that would be my goal. I can only hope that we find someone with those same goals for himself and for LSU.
