re: 54-9 since 2017. That's not Riley's record, it's Kelly's.

Yeah that makes sense....but the schedule is soft as Riley and ND decruits itself....unimaginitive offense....man it all depends on how he can recruit and I have no idea

They never play rent-a-wins. They only play major conference schools every year and never FBS. They have an interesting game for their fans to get excited about every weekend unlike us when we play the Mcneeses and the NLU’s. I think it’s a good thing that they play the service academies

Let’s add all the service academies and nobody’s to our schedule!

So we fired a coach that was 51-20 which played a much tougher schedule every year and paid him 26 million to go away. To hire this clown. If true we need a new ad.

I wouldn’t like the hire but I’ll pump a little more sunshine into this thread.

Over the last 5 years, ND has actually exceeded preseason expectations.

2017: preseason unranked, finished #11.
2018: preseason rank 12, finished #5
2019: preseason rank 9, finished #12
2020: preseason rank 10, finished #5
2021: preseason rank 9, currently #6

His O-Line recruiting and development is A+. No worse feeling than watching your team’s/LSU’s offensive line get pushed around. At least we know LSU would constantly dominate the line of scrimmage. He typically has good coordinators as well and is willing to make changes if they’re not performing. Sign me up.

ND gets opportunities based upon who they are and not what they’ve accomplished. That’s my only beef. It would be a solid hire though.
