The guy is a horrible coach and we are lucky he didn't cost the team more than just 2 losses a year, because lord knows that he has been more than a little lucky in some of those game, like the Auburn game, for example! I mean in the three years since he's been here, the teams so far never ever came close to reaching their potentials!

TP, there are 3 aspects to coaching: Game day recruiting, hiring.

On two of those he has done a very good job.

Its the game day coaching that sucks. Those other two factors will ensure he probably wins 75% of his games. It will also mean he will be like Schembecler or Donahue, good record, no NC's. He's not a championship coach.

Somewhere Saban is licking his chops thinking once I really get my players in there, this guy is mine.

doubtful. Saban couldn't do it at home with three turnovers and over a hundred yards in penalties.

Lombardi needs to step in and drop that offer down. He damn sure isn't worth 3 mill a year. If we CAN offer that much money then let his arse got to Meeeeechigan and grab a real top coach.

I'm not sure Les is Michigan's #1 choice.

That's championship money. National Championship money. I'm not one who wants Miles run out of town but if Michigan offers him 3 million we should wish him good luck.

I believe Purplehaze is probably right. However, there has to be some checks and balances. Skip probably does not have the authority to do this alone. I am assuming Skip may have provided a preliminary offer that if accepted by Miles would have to be approved by Board of Supervisors and by outside organizations that contribute to comensation.

No way TAF goes along w/ this.

Lester is not worth that kind of money. I hope LSU did not offer him that. I hope he leaves skid marks on his way to Ann Arbor. Pelini, carry your arse to Nebraska.

Check his talent against any other coach here at LSU. How many SEC championships has he won. His winning will go down as his talent level goes down..see this years recruits, kids want to play for NC.

That sounds about right with his win/loss record. I just hope they get rid of Pelini.

LSU isn't going to let Skip do shite without first talking to the higher ups. I'm sure the higher ups told Skip to offer this and see what happens. Everyone knows that Skip is a lame duck and is in no position to make these decisions that LSU is facing.

can't disagree with that. Money has to come from somewhere. However, they better be yanking it or scaling it down today.
