Confidence wavering... The national narrative doesn't favor LSU.. if it would have been Alabama or Notre Dame I can guarantee that we wouldn't hear McAfee and finebaum among others pushing to stay at Ole miss. I get that it's a playoff run and if lane could finish the season whether that would be tomorrow or the national championship jed probably choose LSU 10 out of 10 times. I love college football but despise the NCAA as an institution

This high ranking individual says the entire State of Louisiana is aligned. And the new President was instrumental but the word to me is Verge did an amazing job and his credibility with Saban and then to Sexton was huge. Scott Woodward was not bashed but I was told Verge was convincing and made it clear money for good results was not a problem but money for getting fired was not going to happen any longer at LSU. Kiffin LOVES the incentive plan which Iam told is history making.

The Governor says we don’t mind paying for results and a great agent like Sexton took us up on it. It will be interesting to see it.

It’s going to be wild. Can you imagine the first game and Kiffin comes out that tunnel. I promise you expect the largest crowd ever in Tiger Stadium. Also expect record season ticket sales.

Verge had better hit a home run here or his young tour as AD will be quite short. If not Kiffin or Saban, he better have resurrected Lombardi. A fall-back Wilson or Baker hire could be immensely fatal.

The reason why landing the big fish in Kiffin is so HUGE is he is the only big fish to choose from. After Kiffin the drop off of a proven coach that is an offensive genius is a far fall. And the number of colleges looking for coaches is high with a limited pool. I would expect good for the coordinators because some of these jobs eventually will need to be filled by non head coaches. So for conclusion if Verge can land Lane which he will he is off to a great start as AD at LSU. I have always like Verge and Iam proud of him.
