anybody remember the tech-lsu game this year? or the boise state game? OT loss on a failed 2pt conversion against a Hawaii team that went undefeated?
He was at a school with almost no hope to pull good in state talent from LSU, yet he brought them to the point where they can contend with the majors (somewhat).
Albeit they lost, but I think you can give credit for close losses to good teams when its Tech.
They did for Weis at ND for the USC loss, doing it a Tech is a bigger accomplishment.
And don't forget, he became AD at a time when funding, direction, etc was a complete mess in Ruston. I lived in Ruston when he was hired and the moment he got the job, there was a different atmosphere and attitude towards the football program. He's a smart coach, he'll do fine.

False there is plenty of good talent left that LSU and the rest of the SEC doesn't take.
