For anyone that likes history,Stephen Ambrose’s books are very good.I’ve read most all of his books, only one I didn’t care for was the one about the Lewis and Clark expedition. It drug on and on,but their expedition drug on and on.I didn’t read the one about Nixon, wasn’t much interested in him.

His book about the railroads is superb. Nothing Like It in The World is the title.

Accused of plagiarism, but I still enjoy reading his stuff.

Interesting, I thought Undaunted Courage was exceedingly good, giving real perspective to the massive preparation and material needed to make such an expedition. Much respect for Jefferson's intellect as a result of reading it.

Stephen Ambrose made history interesting.
He wrote for the reader who wanted to know about a historical topic and not be inundated with mountains of research.
