A pitiful title followed by a lackadaisical announcement that a book is being read.

Don't give up that easily.

Just post in some existing threads to get the feel of things. For example, there is a "What are You Reading Now" thread on the first page that would have been a great place to put your post. Also, check out the FAQ's. They have some great info in there including about descriptive subject lines.

So, keep at it. This board needs posters if it is to thrive.

Listen to Methuselah.

To some other posters, try not to bring this board to the OT level please.
Thanks

Hang in there neilh.

And just remember, even the posts that end up running long and are very popular often have 2 or 3 smart-aleck responses on the first page. It's kind of par for the course.

Always gonna have a couple of shite posts in a thread.

Ignore it and persevere on.

The Cross series books from Patterson are fantastic. Big Bad Wolf, London Bridges, Jack and Jill, and Along Came a Spider are probably my favorites.

Didn't mean to be a dick earlier

Just finished The Black Book.
Wow!!! What a good book.
He really grips you.
Have to get used to the bouncing time frames for the "present" for a chapter or two , then "the past" for a couple of chapters.
Once you get used to those time frame transitions you are good to go and will be riveted.
A good read.
If you start reading it will be hard to put down.
Let me know what you think
