I just picked it up today, and Im really enjoying it so far. It set after Return of the Jedi, and features Luke Skywalker and Lando Calrissian. I definitely recommend checking it out if you’re into Star Wars novels.

If you like canon books, also recommend Lost Stars. Some great new characters in there.

I love all the new canon books. I've read most of the new Thrawn's, Master and Apprentice, and now I'm reading this. I'll definitely have to check out Lost Stars.

New Thrawn or old Thrawn?

“Lost Stars” was pretty good. I gave up on all the new Disney Star Wars books a while ago, though. Didn’t feel like keeping up with it.

Holy crap. Old Thrawn. Didn’t know there was new Thrawn. That will be up next I guess.

They wrote some new books and put him in the cartoon “Rebels” show to make him part of the new canon.

Old books of the Extended Universe are no longer canonical.

The new Thrawn books are really good as it expands on the Chiss and his background.

The original Thrawn trilogy is one of my top series of all time. That said, I like the character of Thrawn in the new books more than the original. I've read that Zahn doesn't plan to write anymore Thrawn books which sucks.

I haven't read any of the other canon books. I might one day but I don't see myself liking any of the ones that connect to the new movie trilogy.
