It's good, but it's 70s science fiction so expect a slow burn. Morgan Freeman has been trying to get this movie made for years. He's one of the producers of the upcoming film.

Did some more digging and yeah I read Freeman has had the rights to it since the early 2000s. He and Fincher were supposed to do it around 2012 but couldn’t get a good script. DV started writing the script last month with freeman on as producer

I really enjoyed the Rama books, that’s what catapulted my love of sci fi. It’s got great potential as a movie

I read Clarke’s Rama series twice over. Great world building. For a hint, think of the penultimate scene in “Interstellar.”
