Oathbringer has a prologue, 122 chapters, 14 interludes, and an epilogue for a total of 1,248 pages.

Yeah I bought it this morning. The first 32 chapters that were released are barely a 4th of the book, if that.

I read the first set of interludes and the next two chapters this morning.

Excellent. Didn’t want to spend 17 dollars on an ebook if i had already read half for free from tor.

Can’t wait to jump back in as soon as the work day is over.

Happy reading fellas

Anyone reading this right now?

I'm about halfway done. I'm really really mixed so far, to be honest. Hopefully picks up a little bit.

Agreed, but I don't think I'm really being fair every time I think that. It's book 3 of 10. There is still a ton of world building and plot development going on. The lack of real "action", so far, shouldn't bother me (even if it does). There is a lot of stuff going on and being revealed. But I think Kolinar will provide the action by books end.

I'm a quarter of the way in. I like the characters so much that I feel like i need development, but agreed, not too much has happened that has been too great

Finished listening to it this morning. Don't worry if the first couple parts of the book doesn't get your blood pumping, this book certainly delivers.

****Possible slight spoiler****
If anyone hasn't started reading this book yet and hasn't already done so, go read Warbreaker. I believe it is still free.

re: PSA for Stormlight Archives Fans
I’m not talking about action.

I’m just very mixed on where it’s going. The shattered plains was a great setting and th buildup of the Parshendi was good. Good villains like Sadeas.

I’m just kind of bored with Urithiru and all that’s going on.

And the long sections focusing on Bridge 4 characters I couldn’t give a frick less about was kind of a chore.

I do agree, the Urithiru parts weren’t super exciting, but the narrative does move on before too long.

Right!!! Bridge 4 is going to be the backbone of the Windrunners.

Finished the book, I have mixed feelings about it. I respect Sanderson for undertaking such an epic omniverse. Tying in all the worlds and building this world is mind boggling. I got the feeling that the series is about to get away from him due to the size and scope.

I guess I can stew on it for 2 more years like everyone else.

The Lopen and Rock are two of my favorite smaller characters in the series.

Does anyone else think Rock was/is a big deal in his homeland? Theories?

Concerning Rock: I think he is a Prince of some type for the Horneaters. Wasn't he a warrior before one of his brothers was killed? That moved him up in the line of succession in his family.

I think Rock becomes a Windrunner in the next book, he is also going to face some hard decisions on whether on not he is going to fight. It will be interesting to see what Rock decides and why. I doubt Sanderson kills off Rock's family as motivation.
