i thought i would find that the tv show cut tons of the source material but so far its been the exact OPPOSITE.
book 1 never once mentions a single person on earth despite the whole protomolecule drama.
the book glosses over a great deal of things that the tv show went into extreme detail with.
all that to say, kudos to the screenwriters for expanse; they pulled the gist from the source material and expanded on it in spectacular fashion. i guess thats' what happens when you have a season with 10 hours' worth of tv to fill.
i'm even more impressed with the show now; even though it kind of fizzled out at the end.
looking forward to the rest of the books and reaching the 'jumping off point' where the show ended.

It's been a while since I've watched the show or read the series but if I remember right the series did a good job of mixing things into seasons that were covered in different books. Like the earth stuff in season 1 was covered in book 2 or 3 and they just moved it around in the show.

You're going to wish that the show would start up again where it left off after reading the books.
