Haven't really read anything regularly since college. Looking for anything good to read in general. Mostly just read sports biographies/autobiographies or anything relating to traveling like Into the Wild, which I finished for the 4th time recently. Something like that.

Also thought of reading up some of the classic novels again like The Great Gatsby, To Kill a Mockingbird, A Farewell to Arms, stuff like that.

Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

Re-reading the classics or reading the classics you haven't read yet is always a good idea.

Robinson Crusoe is one of my all time favorites and, if you've never read it before you're sure to enjoy both the story and the style. A true timeless classic.

A fun read. I actually have a collection of a number of editions including a First. If you can find a library copy with illustrations .... anyways, have fun.

5/5 Recommend Children of the Neon Bamboo. It's relatively unheard of, but can't say enough about it. Gen x moby dick. Timely, nostalgic, and timeless in a weird way.

Call of the Wild.

I don’t know why it always gets labeled a kid/junior high book.

A Walk in the Woods or anything by Bill Bryson is probably right up your alley.

Try out "A Confederacy of Dunces"
Great story.
One of the greatest book titles of all time. You can say those words every day of your life. No matter if you're referring to the actual book, or to any situation around you in the world on any given day.

If you want some good travel related books check out:
* Labyrinth of Ice by Buddy Levy
* The River of Doubt by Candice Millard

I couldn't put either book down when I read them. One is about historical exploration of the arctic and the other is about Theodore Roosevelt exploring the Amazon rain forest. Great books. It didn't hurt that I read Labyrinth of Ice during August when it was a 100 degrees out.
