Is it just accepted now that there will never be another book and this will be another great series that is never completed?

I don't think Lynch is as bad as Martin... yet. But it is pretty frustrating that the 4th book was set to release 2 years ago.

It’s not nearly as bad as JRRM. Lynch has had some legit personal issues that delayed things.

But it seems like he has just said frick it and has given up on the series.

Some legit, some not. He basically gave up writing for 6 months because the stress of buying a house was too much for him.

He is still plugging away at it, at least according to him. But, a couple of months ago he had a twitter post asking for advice on a gay character he wanted to put in the book. So he is adding at least on major character to a book that should have been published 2 years ago.

He also couldn’t write for weeks after Trump was elected. No joke.

He’s a really really fragile guy. His divorce sent him into a tailspin and he suffers from crippling anxiety.

Ya legit anxiety and depression like that is no joke. A lot tougher to get a book done where you are trying to bring together a big story than just clock in and out at some normal office type job.

Hopefully he can work through that mental stuff and get back to writing cause I love his books

Lies of Locke Lamora was just picked up for a movie/tv option by the same production company that did Black Swan and Zodiac, so there's that for him.

Yeah, he's a huge bedwetting liberal too. I had to stop following him on Twitter because of how ate up he was with the Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Rothfuss is the same way.

And on top of it, unlike Lynch, Rothfuss is an absolute unmitigated a-hole to fans.

I’ve always heard that about Ruthfuss but didn’t know if it was true. What’s he done that’s so bad?

i've accepted it. Loved the first book. When all of his life drama started, I gave up on the rest of the series. I'm in a wait and see mode. If he ever wraps the series up, I'll pick up the 2nd book and move forward.

There are just tons of stories online of runins with him and what a jerk he was.

There was one thing in particular where he posted a screenshot of him writing the 3rd book. People blew up the screen so they could see what he was writing and he lost his shite. Said some really insulting things about his fans.

He’s just an a-hole. Good writer though.
