First of all wow probably the greatest book I’ve ever read. Two chapters will stick with me forever The Grand Inquisitor and Ivan’s Nightmare with the Devil. Just an unbelievable book.

How did you have time to read while fighting to increase the refundability of the Child Tax Credit? Simply amazing.

Did y’all like corroborate to read this book at the same time? It seems like everyone has been bringing it up lately. Not that I’m complaing. I just feel left out.

I think it's the greatest novel ever written. So many layers and so profound in its message.

It’s only about 1000 pages depending on translation and book type. Should only take about 3 days of easy reading.

It's a great book, no doubt. Same with Crime and Punishment. Dostoyevsky is a powerful writer. Reading his stuff kind of messes with my mind though. Like it leaves me in a funk for awhile after I finish.

Which translation did you go with?

Pevear. Garnett’s translation is terrible. I read the first 200 pages with Garnett and picked up on Pevear and immediately noticed the difference.

I’ve read good stuff about McDuff, but Penguin only makes that in paperback. I want a classic like that in a nice hard cover.

Yeah I agree. My buddy read it in the Bantam Classic with the MacAndrew translation. He seemed to enjoy it m.
