I also noticed the books are going to get longer. Is that because of expanded storylines and longer times on floors?

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm happy it's happening, I'm happy it's someone like Seth McFarlane who is good at both nerd shite and telling whatever joke he wants
Do I think a live action will survive 10 seasons? Not unless they suddenly get cheap CGI or use AI
But I like the thought of it being live action, so I'm staying glass half full for now

I fully understand the concern
Live action with CGI is expensive and there is already history with a show being cancelled because of cost
There is a lot of material and we want to see it all (Seth MacFarlane would leave in the baby seals), but could they fit in a book in 8-10 episodes? I'm guessing the leveling and loot boxes would be the easiest to condense
Not worried about peacock censoring as the streaming platforms have the risque stuff, but I am worried they'll pull a netflix and cancel it after 1 or 2 seasons because it only got 5m viewers instead of the expected 5.25m
I'm not ready to protest or riot, but I will be fully outraged if any changes to or outright characters are removed.

Honestly, when it comes to book adaptations, I'm more concerned about the changing the the cancelling. It sucks when original shows are cancelled because we don't know how it ends. As long as they do the books justice, if we "only" get a few seasons, it wouldn't bother me. We still have the books to fall back on. On the flip side, if they come out of the gate putting out dogshit "inspired" by the books instead of adapting them, that's another issue entirely.

Almost done with parade of horribles but just wanted to pop in to say a few things
Pony - I know it’s coming every time but when he screams it cracks me up every damn time
Donut - this is an outrage, the entire bit with the donut hole t-shirt made me laugh out loud in real life some much my wife asked what was going on (I was unloading the dishwasher at the time)
Samantha - gotta be the horniest sex doll head in the universe
Jamal - fricking shark and his legs gets me giggling
This has been a fun ride and is really well done, especially with how things unfold outside the dungeon etc
Edit: kind of unsure with peacock getting the rights to the show, I know they did twisted metal but I have never watched it. Has anyone seen that adaptation because that might be a pretty decent parallel

I can’t remember which time, but one of the later ones just so happened (I’m reading the kindle version with a random font and size, so I don’t know if it would happen in the print version) to have the lead up on one page and only the payoff on the next page, which ended the chapter. Made it all the better

They did a decent job with that show particularly with the second season once it hit the racing part. And Twisted Metal has a somewhat similar type of humor, particularly with Sweet Tooth.
But they wound up Neve Campbell due to budget reasons between season 1 and 2, so I have serious doubts about them doing anything past book 1 or so justice in DCC really due to money.

Small update from my earlier posts. I'm almost done with The Dungeon Anarchist's Cookbook and have really enjoyed it. The craziness of the floor has been fun to try and figure out.

I’m trying to like it but finding it hard to get into the series. 130 pages in the first book.
